Welcome to a burst of summer freshness on your plate! In this delightful creation, we bring you the essence of the season – a quick summer salad starring vibrant, juicy tomatoes and crisp cucumbers, along with other vegetables straight from the garden. Get ready to embrace the symphony of flavors, colors, and textures in this harmonious medley of fresh vegetables, destined to be the star of your summer table.

Your List of Ingredients

-(4) - (6) Medium sized tomatoes

-(2) Medium Cucumbers

-(1) Bell Pepper (Any color will work)

-(1) Small onion

-(1) Lemon

-(1) Tbsp Fowl Hogz House Seasoning

-(1) Tbsp minced garlic

-(1) Cup red wine vinegar

-(1) Cup olive oil

-(1) Tsp Italian seasoning

Step 1: Preparation

This is one of the easiest side dishes that you will ever make. The secrete to success with this dish is your knife work. So, grab your favorite sharp kitchen knife and go to work. Be sure to take your time while cutting your vegetables, because they are the finished product.

  1. Cut the tomatoes into ½” pieces.

  2. Cut the cucumbers into pieces about a 1/4” in thickness.

  3. Cut the bell pepper into ¼” x ½” pieces.

  4. Cut the onion into quarters then slice it into ¼” pieces.

  5. Slice the lemon in half.

Step 2: Making the Salad

Once you have all your ingredients cut and in the bowl, mix in your ingredients. This is a great side dish for your next barbecue, as it needs to be made ahead of time. The salad is also great with leftovers as the flavors build over time.

  1. Place all the ingredients in a medium sized bowl except for the lemon.

  2. Squeeze the lemon juice into bowl.

  3. Thoroughly mix the ingredients.

  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour and a half. The vegetables need to soak in the vinegar and other seasoning.

  5. Stir well before serving.

We suggest using a slotted spoon to serve. If you leave the salad in the refrigerator overnight, the oil might congeal on the top. Simply leave the salad sitting on the counter to allow it to come to room temperature, and the oil will return to its normal state.
